DIY Home-Made Clay Mask Facial
I love facials but never have time to get one, or honestly I can never justify the cost. Plus I love DIY projects, so what else? I started rolling my own.
First I invested a lot of time in research because I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to ruin my already less than perfect skin. What I came up with still is a work in progress, but it works pretty well for me right now. Everyone's skin is different, but what I do works pretty well with most skin types.
My ingredients:

Clay. Benzonite. Tighten pores, deep cleans. You can get it at several places, I got mine from Vitamin Shoppe. Here's a direct link to get it: http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/store/en/browse/sku_detail.jsp?id=SW-1001

Sea Salt. This again is supposed to help tighten pores. You can find it at markets, drug stores, other places. This is the one I got: http://www.amazon.com/Spice-Islands-Adjustable-Grinder-Mediterranean/dp/B000M6EP1M

Witch Hazel with Rose Petals. I love the smell of rose, it brings me back to being a little girl, since my grandmother always smelled of rose perfume. Witch Hazel is a great natural toner, and helps sooth and cool skin.

Fiji Water. I was supposed to use distilled water but since I didn't have any, I boiled my fiji water instead.
Mashed everything together and made a thick paste, smooshed it all over my face and sat back and felt it dry. It tighted on my skin and made me feel a little itchy, and once I washed it off I was a little red for a while, but it's left my skin really clean and smooth. I followed that up with face moisturizer and off to bed I went.
Not a bad experience all in all. Next time: essential oils. Lavender and rose to start with but there's lots to choose from. Again, Vitamin Shoppe have them. Definitely will be worth the price.
