I'm a cook. I love cooking, especially the big holiday meals which I always do from scratch, but even just the family sunday dinners I enjoy preparing. Today I decided to come up with a faster and simpler way of preparing Picadillo, which is a Cuban dish of chopped meat, tomato sauce and other ingredients, always served on a bed of rice. Normally not a big hassle to prepare, and definitely one of my family's favorites, however today I found myself with less time for preparation than usual so I came up with this quick fix. Also a great solution for "last minute" guests. My apologies to my mother and grandmother for the cheats, lol.

Poking around the internet for odd or otherwise unusual stories is a guilty pleasure for me. I am tired of mainstream media as a whole, and try to avoid it like the plague - but weird stories you'll never hear Dan Rather report on in a million years if his life depended on it? Those are for me.
